We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (registration reference ZC265568). We are the data controller for personal information collected through this website. This notice covers the website only. 39 Apps has its own privacy notice, available inside the app.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry: your name, email address, phone number if you give one, your business name, team size, the software you use and what you tell us about your business.

When you email us or become a client: your contact details, correspondence and the business information needed to deliver the work.

When you visit the website: our hosting provider processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We don't use analytics or advertising tracking.

How we use it and our lawful basis

• Replying to enquiries: our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, or taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
• Delivering our services: performance of our contract with you.
• Keeping business records: to meet our legal obligations, for example tax and accounting records.
• Running and securing the website: our legitimate interest in providing a safe, working website.

We'll only send you marketing emails if you've agreed to receive them, or if you're a client and the message is about similar services. Every message includes a simple way to opt out.

Who we share it with

We use trusted service providers to run the business. They process information on our behalf and only as we instruct:

• HubSpot: customer records and enquiry handling.
• Microsoft 365: email and file storage.
• Cloudflare: website hosting, security and delivery of website code.
• Google Fonts: the typefaces used on this website are loaded from Google's servers, which receive your IP address.
• Zapier: where we use automations to move information between these systems.

We never sell your information or share it for anyone else's marketing. We may disclose information if the law requires it.

International transfers

Some of these providers store or process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, the transfer is covered by UK adequacy regulations (such as the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework) or by the International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum approved by the Information Commissioner.

How long we keep it

If we don't end up working together, we delete enquiry details within 24 months of our last contact. If you become a client, we keep records for six years after our work ends, to meet tax and legal requirements.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to ask for it to be transferred to someone else. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.

Keeping your information safe

We use reputable providers with strong security, restrict access to the people who need it and use multi-factor authentication on our accounts.
